Revitalization of the Magca Language (In HK & Nepal)

• Magca language is no longer used by the Magca community​​​ ​(Even the grandparent generation can barely speak it)​
   
• ​In HK: By private organizations

• In Nepal: some revitalization cases by the government and some by joint effort of private organizations and government
• Classes are offered but not compulsory​
• Only few schools joined at the beginning but more and more did so later

 

• Outcome: many children can speak Magca language now (higher proficiency than the grandparent generation)
• Reason: Democratization​
