To celebrate the International Mother Language Day launched by the UNESCO, this project aims at raising people's  awareness of the linguistic diversity in Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, local people always neglect the fact that they are living in a hub of ethnic minorities languages. In this project, the Nepalese community is chosen to be studied among different ethnic minorities in Hong Kong. Although, the Nepalese community has  existed in Hong Kong for quite a long period of time, people seem to be unaware of their existence. By studying why there is Nepalese community settlement in Hong Kong historically in conjunction with the way they interact with the local Hong Kongers in a dynamic environment to form their strongly-bound Nepalese network connections, it is hoped that it can arouse people's interests in learning more about the language of Nepalese in Hong Kong.
